Creative Baby Shower Favors

If you are hosting a baby shower for someone you know, consider making artistic, personalized baby shower favors to make the event truly special for the mom-to-be and the attendees of the party. Here are some great ideas for unique baby shower favors that you can personalize and give out at the end of the party to thank everyone for coming.

  • Egg Timers: These make great favors for baby showers! They are small and useful for anyone who spends time in the kitchen cooking or baking. They are especially appropriate favors for this event since women are typically the attendees of baby showers. You can also decorate the egg timers with a cute saying like “Ready to Hatch” and the baby’s name on them.
  • Candy Jar: Fill up a small jar with jelly beans: pink and white jelly beans if the baby is going to be a girl, yellow and blue if the baby is going to be a boy, or a mix of colors if the sex of the baby is going to be a surprise. Write a special message on the jar for each guest along with this edible baby shower favor!
  • Potted Plant: A small potted flower is a sweet baby shower favor to give out to guests. Write a message like “Watch this flower grow as [Mother-to-be’s name] watches her baby grow” and attach the paper to the plant with a piece of ribbon. Pink, blue, or green are ideal colors for the ribbon depending on the baby’s sex.
  • Mint Baby Pacifiers: If you have a little bit of extra time on your hands, these baby shower favors are tasty and fun to make! All that you need are white mint Lifesavers, white Tic Tacs, confectionery sugar, and milk. Add a few drops of milk to a small bowl of confectionery sugar to make a thick paste. Unwrap all of the mints and Tic Tacs. You will need 2 mints and one Tic Tac for each baby shower favor. Dip the edge on one mint into the paste and place it in the center hole of the other mint so that they are perpendicular to each other. Allow the mints to air dry for about 20 minutes. Then dip the Tic Tac into the paste. Pick up the mint structure and insert the Tic Tac into the center hole opposite of the mint you are holding. They should now look like pacifiers! Let air dry for another 20 minutes and then fill up small goody bags for each of your guests.
