Gingerbread Haunted House Craft

 

Enjoy this Halloween baking and craft activity with the whole family! Kids will love being helpers and decorating these spooky themes:

• Halloween Theme: Decorate the gingerbread haunted houses with candy corn and other brown, yellow, and orange candies such as M&Ms, jelly beans, Reese’s pieces, and peanut butter cups. Use orange, brown, and yellow frosting for additional decorations. Put yellow and brown sprinkles over the frosting.

• Ghost Theme: Gingerbread haunted houses with a ghost theme are a great addition to your Halloween decorations . Purchase Peep marshmallow treats in ghost shapes. Frost the area behind the ghosts in a dark colored frosting for a dramatic contrast. Place the ghosts on the roof, on the sides of the gingerbread house, and in the yard.
