Laser Tag Birthday Party

Laser tag birthday parties are a terrific idea for your son or daughter’s big day!  Kids love the adventure of going somewhere new and testing their skills. It is also a good opportunity for some friendly competition in a fast-paced and fun environment. Throw the perfect laser tag party with our helpful hints and ideas:

  • Location: Depending on the area, you many have a variety of businesses to choose from. Before making any final decisions, call the different venues in your area to see what types of packages they offer, what safety equipment they use and if they have any laser tag birthday party specials. Many venues also allow you to rent out their entire facility if you are planning on inviting a lot of people to the party. Another important factor to keep in mind is the venue’s age limit on laser tag. Many places have policies in place that you must be 10 years or older to play.
  • Guest List: Discuss with your son or daughter any expectations that you have for their laser tag birthday party and compose a guest list. As the host, you need to keep in mind that you will be responsible for the other kids at the party if anything goes wrong, so keep the numbers at a manageable level. If there will be a lot of children at the laser tag party, you may want to ask another adult to help supervise.
  • Food/Drink: Talk to the venue coordinator about any food options they might offer for laser tag parties. If they do not serve food, many places have a special party room where you can bring in your own food for the party. If this still is not an option at the laser tag facility that you choose, you can always bring the kids to a local pizza parlor or restaurant afterwards for lunch or dinner.
  • T-Shirts: Another great idea for laser tag parties is to get t-shirts made for the kids to wear! Split the kids up into teams and give them each a team t-shirt or jersey to wear while they play laser tag. This will also be a great party favor for to keep after the party!

Keep in mind that not all parents are familiar with the game of laser tag. Talk to any parents that are worried or concerned about their kids attending the party. Let them know the facts and that the “lasers” that the kids will be using are really more like the beam that comes from a TV remote control; it does not harm the kids in anyway. You can also let the parents know that the games will be supervised by the staff.
