Mardi Gras Drink Recipes
Mardi Gras is a time to celebrate and have fun! If you are planning a Fat Tuesday celebration this year, you may want to serve up some delicious cocktails to add to the excitement of your party. Here are a variety of delicious Mardi Gras drink recipes to serve at your party:
New Orleans Hurricane
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. light rum
- 1 oz. dark rum
- 1 oz. coconut rum
- 1 oz. vodka
- 1 oz. gin
- 1 oz. Chambord (raspberry liqueur)
- 1 oz. triple sec liqueur
- 3 oz. orange juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
Directions: Pour the ice cubes into a hurricane glass. Add the rums, vodka, gin, liqueur, triple sec, and orange juice into a mixer and shake a few times. Pour the drink into the hurricane glass. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
Cajun Martini
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ oz. vodka
- 1 dash dry vermouth
- Pickled jalapeno pepper
Directions: Pour the vodka and vermouth in a mixer filled with ice cubes. Shake well and then strain into a cocktail glass. Drop in a slice of the jalapeno pepper and serve.
Bourbon Street Slushy Delight
Ingredients:
- 1 can (6 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1 can (12 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate
- 1 can (46 fluid oz.) pineapple juice
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 2 cups strongly brewed black tea
- 2 cups bourbon whiskey
- 1 bottle (2 liter) Sprite
Directions: Combine the orange juice, lemonade, pineapple juice, sugar, tea and whiskey in a large bowl and mix. Once stirred, pour the mixture into 14 individual small bowls and freeze overnight. Remove the bowls from the freezer and let stand for 5-10 minutes. Then, use a fork or potato masher to chop up the ice mixture into a slushy consistency. Scoop the slush into glasses. Before serving, top of the glasses with Sprite and garnish with a lemon peel.
French Quarter Fizz
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. dark rum
- 1 tsp. grenadine syrup
- 6 oz. ginger ale
Directions: Pour ingredients in a mixer filled with ice. Shake it until it is well mixed and then pour into a glass. Add more grenadine if desired and garnish with a cherry.
Tiger Paw
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Southern Comfort
- 1 oz. pineapple juice
- 4 oz. raspberry wine
Directions: Add the three ingredients in a mixer filled with ice. Shape it and then strain the liquid into a martini glass. Garnish with a piece of pineapple and serve.
