With over 18 years experience in the food and beverage industry,Chef Chris Peil & Owner Diane Stern possess pride and passion in everything we do, focusing on creating customized menus & service for any event. Our mission at PS Catering is to help you create an unforgettable and flavorful day that will stay with you and your guests forever. We promise to bring you flavorful food, with excellent service, at an affordable price. We can cook up any dish or cuisine; when we say.... "You Create It, We Plate It", we mean it.
A little about Chris Peil as a chef. Chris started cooking when he could barely walk, his dad always said "men should always know how to cook". He fell in love, a passion that grew faster than any ever could have imagined. With his first job at 15 washing baskets and trays for Cousins Subs, Chris then branched out into sandwich shops and pizzerias and bakeries. When Peil was 18 he landed a job at the best rated Italian restaurant in Tucson, Piazza Gavi. Chris climbed and worked his way up to assistant kitchen manager and eventually wandered further up the mountains into resorts. At age 20, his love for food found him working banquets at both Hacienda Del Sol as well as Westward look. By the age of 22 Peil had traveled and participated in enough caterings and cooking conventions that his reputation was built and he landed a job as one of the sous chefs at Lowes Ventana Canyon. In 2008 Chris moved up to the valley to help a small Italian place grow, where he met his partner, Diane Stern.
Diane had been cooking for her friends and family since before she could even have a job, experimenting with food, while always remembering that people taste their food initially with their eyes. For 7 years, Diane has excelled and worked her way up from counter girl to manager. Her first job was at Fatburger, working expo. Within weeks, she was working every position, front and back of house. She worked with NYPD Pizza for 5 years, started as a hostess, then went on to become a server, bartender, trainer, and manager. Looking for an up-and-coming restaurant, she found herself at Crust Pizza and Wine Cafe. As a server, she works with the owners fine-tuning in house procedures to improve the atmosphere and final products, insuring consistency in the restaurant. She prides herself on her customer relations and work ethic.
Wanting to create something where they could put their passion in, PS Catering was started.
