Artful Cakery by Julie is a bakery that was opened in 2013 in Flowery Branch, Georgia. It is owned by Julie McDaniel. Julie is a self-taught cake artist who began baking for roommates in college, then for her children, friends, and family. After making her first wedding cake in 2009, she continued to improve and practice decorating until opening the business out of her home with a cottage food license. Julie has made many wedding, groom’s, birthday, baby shower, engagement, anniversary, bridal shower, first birthday, quinceanera, sweet 16, and many other cakes for any special occasion. She enjoys sculpting 3-D cakes including cars, trucks, dogs and other animals, insects, food such as ice cream, hot dogs, and hamburgers, musical instruments, games, and many other shapes.
