  Jean Therapy celebrates the sophistication of master musicians like Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell (Shadows & Light), Santana, Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder & Sergio Mendez with their own modern interpretations of yesteryear tunes. The collaborators also love to play with classic jazz standards and upbeat songs of today - often stripping more modern pieces down to their smooth roots. Musically partnered for ten years, vocalist Jean Lenke and guitarist Dan McKay head up this music project. Their musical chemistry is evident in the interplay and dynamics of the group’s performances as a duo, combo, or full six-piece band.
  
  “The music we play is part of our collective DNA. It’s a mixture of the popular music grew up on through the 70’s and the music that our parents played on the AM radio, ubiquitous, always there as we drove to the shore in the back of our parent’s station wagon. Versatile and adaptable with a large catalog of music, Jean Therapy offers a six-piece group of vocals, guitar, bass, keys, percussion and saxophone. Instrumentation can be configured in combos of various sizes as needed based on the venue and budget. Song selection includes classic rock, jazz-rock fusion, staples from the late 60’s to mid 70’s, standout contemporary hits, great dance music, and updated jazz standards.
